Tired, dry, or uneven skin?

A clinical skin treatment consultation

Skin boosters, in four sentences

Skin boosters are injectables placed into the skin to improve its quality — hydration, texture, fine lines, or firmness — rather than add volume.

“Skin booster” is a category: products differ by ingredient, such as hyaluronic acid, PN (Rejuran), PDLLA + HA (Juvelook), or ECM (Re2O).

Results build gradually, often over a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart.

IV drips and fat-dissolving injections are not skin boosters. A clinician should match the product to your skin.

Dryness, dullness, rough texture, or fine lines can make your skin look older than you feel.

Skincare supports the surface, but it cannot place ingredients into the deeper skin layer the way an injection can.

Not every concern is a skin-quality concern. Volume loss and sagging call for fillers or lifting instead.

Dryness and dullness

Hyaluronic acid boosters focus on hydration and a dewy-looking finish. Discuss HA boosters

Texture and fine lines

PN boosters such as Rejuran, or ECM boosters such as Re2O, focus on skin quality and repair. See Rejuran and Re2O

Gradual firmness

Collagen boosters such as Juvelook focus on firmness and texture over time. See Juvelook

These changes can overlap. A specialist’s assessment helps match what you see with the right options.

Hydration, repair, and firmness are different goals. Start with an assessment.

Which skin booster fits you?

The aim is healthier-looking skin — a natural change, not a new face.

Concerns worth discussing

Dry or dull-looking skin Rough texture and fine lines Early loss of firmness A preference for gradual, natural change

Tell your clinician about

Your medical history, medications, and previous injections Pregnancy, allergies (including fish for PN), autoimmune conditions, or active infection

Why people choose it

Improves skin quality without changing your features Many options for different goals Widely offered in Korea Short downtime for most people

Good to know

Several sessions are often recommended Bumps, bruising, or lumps can occur

The right booster depends on your skin, your goals, and how your skin responds.

HA, PN, PDLLA, or ECM?

Start with what you want to improve — hydration, texture, fine lines, or firmness. Each ingredient plays a different role.

Where does skincare fit? Skincare supports hydration and the surface. Some brands also sell “booster” creams — they do not work like injections.

Ingredients that work inside the skin.

Skin boosters are placed into the dermis with fine needles or a cannula, as small, evenly spaced injections. Depending on the ingredient, they aim to support hydration, repair, or collagen over time.

Change is gradual and differs by product. Boosters improve skin quality; they do not add volume or lift sagging skin.

Skin booster: category, not a brand

Category

“Skin booster” covers many products with different ingredients.

Ingredient decides the role

HA hydrates, PN supports repair, PDLLA supports collagen, ECM supports structure.

Injection vs. skincare

Booster injections are a clinic treatment; booster creams are skincare.

The best treatment is the one that matches your concern.

Healthier-looking skin, gradually.

Skin imaging to compare the condition of the skin

The aim is skin that looks more hydrated, smoother, and resilient. How much changes depends on the product and your skin.

More hydrated-looking skin

01 / Hydration Skin may look plumper and more luminous.

Smoother texture

02 / Texture Rough skin and fine lines may look softer over a series.

More resilient-looking skin

03 / Firmness Collagen-supporting boosters may help skin feel firmer over time.

Expect gradual, natural change. Boosters do not replace fillers or lifting.

Small bumps first, a glow that builds.

First few days

Small bumps, redness, or minor bruising at injection points are common and usually settle within 1–3 days.

After a few weeks

Skin quality often improves gradually. The next session is often scheduled around this time.

Months later

Results vary by product. Maintenance follows reassessment.

Same booster, different technique.

You can compare boosters and still be unsure which fits your skin. That is where a personalized assessment helps: matching your goals with the right ingredient.

The same product does not mean the same treatment. Technique, depth, and amount vary between clinicians, and your skin shapes the plan.
